Film & Slide Processing

No we haven’t forgotten those of you who still like to use film!

We have been printing and developing films for Southlanders for over three generations and we recognise that many of you still prefer this medium for your photos.

Donald Buckley Photographics is the only Invercargill store able to offer you one hour processing on all your films. You also have the choice between glossy or matte prints, white borders, index prints and transferring your films to CD.

For those of you who continue to enjoy shooting slide films, we also offer processing on all slide films.  Choices include having your slide films mounted with pockets, mounted and boxed, develop only and burn to CD.  Plus we also stock a large range of Kodak and Fuji print and slide film – as well as professional film.   So don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries you have in this area.

If you have boxes of old slides at home that you would like turned into a digital format, then check out our information on Slides to CD.

Slides To DVD

Is all your early family history  on slides, packed away in boxes, with no way of viewing them anymore?

We can sell you a scanner so that you can scan them yourself – ok if you have lots of spare time and patience and approximately $300.  Or you can bring in your slide magazines/boxes to us, and we will scan them to CD or DVD for you.  CDs hold approx 600 Low Res files, DVDs hold 3500 files.

You have the option of upgrading to Hi-Res (2048x3072) scanning if you wish to print larger than 10x15cm prints from the CD.  Not all DVD players read JPEG files, so the files may need to be converted to a slide show presentation format in order to play through your DVD.  It may pay to check your DVD manual first.

All you have to do is decide how many duplicate copies you would like us to make, so that everyone in the family can have their own copy.
