Passport & Photos IDs
Passport Photos
We can provide passport photos to meet a variety of requirements from many countries, but we specialise in taking NZ passport photos to meet the strict requirements of the NZ Internal Affairs Department and their new e-passports.
All applicants, including babies, need to provide two identical photos of themselves, not more than 6 months old.
Photos must not be damaged by staples, pins, paperclips, folding or ink.
Our qualified staff are trained to ensure your passport photo meets the following specifications:
- A full-front view of face, head and shoulders, looking straight at the camera with eyes open and head straight.
- Without hat, head band or head covering.
- In all cases, facial features from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead and both edges of the face must be clearly shown.
- With eyes open and clearly visible, and no hair across the face or eyes.
- Long hair may have to be tied back so the face is not obscured in any way. Spiked hair may need to be flattened to meet passport size requirements.
- Without sunglasses. Tinted prescription glasses may be worn as long as the eyes are still visible. There must be no light reflection on the glasses. Thick or heavy rimmed frames must be removed.
- Taken with a neutral expression with the mouth closed.
- Printed on high quality photographic paper of high resolution, not printed with ink jet printers.
- Clear, sharp and in focus with minimum reflective light on the face.
- No appointment is necessary for passport or ID photos. We can also take passport photos for children of all ages – even brand new babies! We even have passport application forms on hand, or you can download them from www.dia.govt.nz. It simply couldn’t be any easier!
